Ingram Micro Strikes Phone Equipment Deal

Ingram Micro Inc., the world’s largest technology products distributor, will start shipping to retailers a new line of telephones, jacks and headsets made by a New Jersey Internet telephone service.

Terms of the deal with Net2Phone Inc. in Hackensack were not disclosed.

Net2Phone said its Yap-brand headset will cost $50 and its Yap phone $55. Both devices attach to computers and are designed to add privacy and clarity to Internet calling. Yap stands for Your Alternative Phone.
