* Re “Last Stand for Icon of the Prairie,” May 5, on the sage grouse:
And the beat goes on--another species in danger of extinction. I hope at least one can be saved, stuffed and put alongside the passenger pigeon at the Smithsonian. Who cares if our biodiversity is going to be reduced to just a bucket of maggots? Who cares if man’s voracious, gluttonous appetite is turning Earth into a slum planet? Who cares . . . ?
