The Planning Commission will consider at its meeting tonight preliminary plans for Hillside Village South, a 91-unit residential neighborhood on Pacific Coast Highway near the Monarch Beach Resort.
A study of the site revealed some previously undiscovered coastal sage scrub, freshwater wetlands and a pair of coastal California gnat-catchers.
The commission will also consider a proposed 1,481-square-foot expansion of the South Coast Regional Reclamation Authority’s operations facility building at 31456 Del Obispo St. The authority processes waste for Dana Point.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers at 33282 Street of the Golden Lantern.
