To help curb urban runoff, the city is conducting household hazardous waste collections this month.
By appointment, residents can leave items like motor oil, bleach, paint and antifreeze at their door for pickup.
Reservations must be made by May 26.
The city contracts the waste removal through Curbside Inc. services. The program will cost the city $20,000.
Collection times are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through June 2, excluding weekends.
In-home assistance for senior and disabled residents is available. Explosives, ammunition, tires, and biological and radioactive wastes will not be accepted.
To schedule a pick-up, call (800) 449-7587. Information: (714) 834-6752.
