Stanton Head Start will hold a community event from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m. Friday featuring Pyles Elementary School children and the United Samoan Organization, music, crafts and a storyteller. The event’s theme is “Literacy Around the World” and is meant to help preschoolers meet elementary school children so that they have an easier time making the move into kindergarten in the fall. Head Start is at 10350 Fern Ave.
