A bomb exploded inside an upscale shopping mall in Manila, injuring at least 10 people, Philippine officials said. The blast, which occurred during the afternoon rush hour, blew a hole in the roof and shattered store windows in the Glorietta Mall and along a pedestrian bridge connecting the mall to a parking facility. Witnesses said they saw bloodied people fleeing the area and glass shards littering the street. At least six young men, two young women and two men were injured, officials said. Police described the bomb as “an improvised homemade explosive.” They said the explosion might have been related to fights among youth gangs who frequent the area.
