Eight people have been jailed following a 10-week investigation that uncovered 147 balloons of heroin and cocaine at homes in Oxnard, police said Friday.

The investigation and arrests were made by a team of narcotics officers from the Ventura Police Department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

Police said they received a tip about a group selling cocaine and heroin throughout Ventura and north to Oak View, and were eventually able to purchase heroin and cocaine from the suspects while working undercover.

Bail was set at $50,000 for each of the suspects.

Police put the street value of the drugs at between $3,000 and $6,000.

Detectives later tracked down several potential buyers who had called to purchase drugs, police said.

Louis Schlosser, Nancy Fimbres, Peggy Allen and Dana Denison , all of Ventura, were arrested on suspicion of attempting to buy drugs.
