Supervisors’ Votes on Planning Issues
* The Times editorial, “Historic Vote for Smart Planning,” (May 7) unfairly labeled the county’s past approvals as “routine” and “unexamined.”
You failed to mention that plan amendments resulted in only 814 additional homes--an average of about 80 homes a year, which was hardly a building boom! In fact, many of those amendments dealt with issues other than changes to the land-use map such as textual changes to clarify plan intent regarding protection of significant resources.
