Disagreeing With Choice of ‘Dames’

Re: “Great Dames of California” (May 14), given that the biggest problem in the world, by far, is overpopulation, and given that the biggest problem in Southern California is overdevelopment, I found it distressing that the Los Angeles Times honors one woman who has brought 10 children into this overcrowded world and another woman who has been an active part of the largest development in Orange County. But then I realized, the more people who are shoe horned into Southern California, the more copies of The Times are sold. How self-serving you’ve become.
