A 19-year-old Anaheim man was in stable condition Monday after a bullet grazed the back of his head during a robbery at his house, police said.

The shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of West Midwood Lane, reports state. The victim and a 31-year-old man were standing in the frontyard when they were approached by two males, both in their early 20s. Police Sgt. Larry Garrison said the men ordered them inside at gunpoint.

Once inside, the bandits handcuffed the victims and demanded money, which was handed over. The teenager was shot accidentally or when he resisted the robbery, Garrison said. He declined to say how much money was taken.

“We aren’t sure yet just exactly what happened,” Garrison said. “Luckily, the wound was pretty mild and not too serious.”

The thieves--described as about 5-foot-7, 170 pounds and dressed in all black clothing--bolted before police arrived, Garrison said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call (714) 765-1528.
