Houlihan Lokey Names Chen CIO

Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, an international investment bank based in Los Angeles, has appointed Louis Chen as chief information officer. He will be responsible for overseeing all projects related to Houlihan Lokey’s Information Technology Group, as well as for providing technical support and recommendations from a practitioner’s point of view to the firm’s technology financial staff. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Chen was vice president of information technology and network operations at OCen Communications, a telecom technologies start-up.

* Attorney Michael J. Myers has joined the San Francisco-based law firm Davis Wright Tremaine in its energy practice group. He will be based in Los Angeles.

* Cigna HealthCare has named Dr. James Wang as the West Coast Region’s chief medical officer, overseeing the medical operations of Cigna HealthCare plans in five states including California. Wang, a board certified internist, had previously held positions including assistant clinical professor of Medicine at Michigan State University Medical School.

* Tetra Tech, a Pasadena-based civil engineering firm, has promoted Steven Agor to senior project manager in its Water/Wastewater Group.

* Tribune Media Services has hired Christopher Aronson as president of its newly formed venture, BoxOffice Direct, which provides movie studios, exhibitors and news media with box-office data collection, analysis and reporting. Aronson is a former executive vice president of distribution for Destination Films in Los Angeles. He will be based in Santa Monica. TMS is a subsidiary of Tribune Co., owner of the Los Angeles Times and other media concerns.
