A traffic engineering firm has recommended installing stop signs on streets in the Summertree residential complex.

Representatives from the firm of Hartzog and Crabill told the City Council last week that a speed limit reduction from 25 to 10 or 15 miles an hour also could help reduce speeding through the complex located near Cerritos Avenue and Rose Street. City Manager Terry Matz said five stop signs will be installed immediately in the area and a traffic survey conducted to evaluate the speed limit.
