Faucet maker Price Pfister plans to close its corporate office in Pacoima, transferring about 60 workers to Lake Forest.

The administrative and corporate employees will be moving to a new Lake Forest office as part of a reorganization within Black & Decker Corp.’s hardware and home improvement group. Price Pfister is a Black & Decker unit.

About 60 other Pacoima workers will lose their jobs when the changes take effect in December.

Black & Decker had announced previously that another unit, Kwikset Corp., was shutting an Anaheim lock manufacturing plant and dismissing 450 employees to move to a newer facility in North Carolina.

Black & Decker also is moving Kwikset managerial and administrative workers from Anaheim and Irvine offices into the office in Lake Forest.

The move further diminishes Price Pfister’s presence in Pacoima. Beginning in 1996, the faucet manufacturer laid off about 500 workers there as it shifted many of its operations to Mexico and shut down its faucet manufacturing foundry.

About 350 manufacturing jobs at the Pacoima office will not be affected, said Ron Webb, vice president of human resources at Black & Decker’s Irvine office.
