IRVINE
Hundreds of people in Southern California this year will be diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a chronic disabling disease that attacks the brain and central nervous system of people mostly between the ages of 16 and 60.
To help those recently diagnosed with the disease and their friends and family members, the Orange County Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will host “Newly Diagnosed Day” Saturday. The program includes presentations by experts who will discuss the disease, treatments and techniques to help cope with the incurable disease.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the local MS Society chapter, 17500 Red Hill Ave., Suite 240. Information: (949) 752-1680.
