Commissioner Can’t Be Trusted
* Had writer Jerry Hicks contacted and spoken to our association, I believe your readers may have concluded that Commissioner Sheila Fell can’t be trusted as a judge because she has disregarded law enforcement and our community safety (“Hoping Voters Will Overrule Objector,” Oct. 28).
The Assn. of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs is not upset with Fell over a lawsuit. We are outraged with Fell because she failed to protect the rights of a murdered 2-year-old child. Fell ordered sheriff’s investigators to hand over their confidential files to the reported suspects even though the murder investigation was only 19 months old.
Had not the appellate courts reversed Fell, law enforcement, community safety and crime victims would have suffered needlessly.
