Singing Can Be Your Key to ‘Rent’ Tickets

Here’s a way to score two free orchestra seats to the opening night of “Rent,” the hit musical that plays Dec. 26-31 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center:

Warm up your singing voice, come to the AMC movie theaters at the Block in Orange, Saturday at 3 p.m., and be prepared to impress the judges in an “Audition for Tickets” contest sponsored by the Center and KMXN-FM (94.3). Contenders must sing the opening few bars of “Seasons of Love” from the show. Lyrics, for those who don’t know the song by heart, are available on the center’s Web site, https://www.ocpac.org.
