The City Council approved a recommendation to distribute $24,875 to nine organizations as part of the city’s Community Services and Cultural Arts Grant Program at its meeting last week.
The city will distribute $18,200 to six community service programs, including Saddleback Community Outreach, which provides rental assistance to needy families, and the Capistrano Valley Boys & Girls Club. The council also approved a grant of $6,675, which will be distributed to three cultural arts programs, including the Readers Repertory Theater and the Philharmonic Society, which provides in-school musical programs for children.
