The Fullerton Police Officers’ Assn. is mailing out requests for donations to help fund local adult and youth organizations.
The mailers include a letter from association President John Cross, asking for a contribution to help the Fullerton Boys & Girls Clubs, East and West Fullerton Little Leagues, Special Olympics, North Orange County YMCA, Fullerton Chamber of Commerce & Downtown Business Assn. and more.
Police warn residents not to give money to any phone or door-to-door solicitors.
“Should anyone attempt to contact you in any form other than this letter, you can be assured they do not represent our association, and we encourage you to deny their requests,” Cross says in the letter.
