The city is offering a free household hazardous waste collection service for seniors and disabled residents. It will pick up such items as used motor oil, used oil filters, pesticides and herbicides, paint, combustibles, antifreeze, batteries and household chemicals. The program is funded by a grant from the California Integrated Waste Management Board. Seniors and disabled residents should call (800) HHW-PKUP to arrange items to be collected.
