* The Wall Street Journal said it will stop publishing its six weekly regional editions, including its California edition, to focus on its national edition, which commands much higher advertising rates. The six editions have appeared Wednesdays as four-page additions in the paper’s “Marketplace” sections. The Journal, a unit of Dow Jones Inc., launched the regional editions with a Texas version in 1993, followed by editions in California, Florida, the Southeast, the Northwest and New England. The closures will eliminate 34 jobs.

* Water resources company Cadiz Inc. of Santa Monica reported a third-quarter net loss of $300,000, or 1 cent per share, compared with net income of $2.9 million, or 9 cents, a year ago. Revenue fell 9% to $55.3 million.

* Carson-based vitamin manufacturer Leiner Health Products Inc. reported a fiscal second-quarter net loss of $2.6 million, compared with a loss of $2.8 million a year ago. Sales rose 15% to $165.0 million.

* Tag-It Pacific Inc., a Los Angeles-based supplier of trim to the apparel industry, reported third-quarter net income of $546,000, or 8 cents per share, compared with $646,000, or 9 cents, a year ago. Revenue rose 71% to $17.5 million.

* Tetra Tech Inc., a Pasadena-based environmental consulting firm, reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $14.8 million, or 35 cents per share, compared with $8.7 million, or 22 cents, a year ago. Revenue rose 39% to $173.6 million.
