The event, to be held at the Skirball Cultural Center from 6:30 to 9 p.m., is sponsored in part by LAredClub, a professional networking association launched in September for those working in digital media targeting the Latino market in the U.S. and abroad.

Speakers include producer Moctesuma Esparza; Adriana Lozada, editor in chief of youth portal LoQueSea.com; Abelardo de la Pena, editor in chief of events calendar LatinoLA.com; Steven Hobbs, director of network sales for HBCi, Hispanic Broadcasting Corp.’s Internet subsidiary; and Juan Faura, general manager of Grupo Samba, a Dallas-based Latino marketing firm.

The panel will address the status of the U.S. Latino Internet space, the scene in Los Angeles, the current players, prospects for investors and whether the Internet can help bridge the gap between Hollywood and Latinos.

The event is free to VIC members, $10 for LAredClub members, and $20 for nonmembers.

Deadline for reservations is noon Tuesday. For reservations, go to https://www.theVIC.org/events and click on “VIC presents.”
