Relay to Raise Funds for Cancer Research
Nurses, doctors and about 2,000 other volunteers will take a hike Saturday as part of a fund-raising walk for cancer research.
About 200 medical professionals from Simi Valley Hospital are expected for the 24-hour Relay for Life, an American Cancer Society event.
Thirteen teams from the hospital have set a fund-raising goal of $26,000, to be used for cancer research.
The walk begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at Royal High School, 1402 Royal Ave. and ends at 10 a.m. Sunday.
