Armenian Genocide

* Re “House Panel OKs Resolution on Armenian Deaths,” Oct. 4: I was shocked that 13 former top U.S. officials, including former Secretary of State Alexander Haig, sent letters to Congress that said the U.S should not recognize a holocaust because the potential damage to U.S. interests in a vital region dramatically outweighs any acknowledgment of past genocide atrocities.

Haig and his elite ignoramuses need to know that the word “holocaust” is synonymous with genocide, and it doesn’t matter if it is African, Jewish or American Indian. That Haig picked the 1915 Armenian genocide to deny is unconscionable.
