School officials will consider a spelling program for first- and second-graders during a Cypress School District board meeting at 6 tonight at 9470 Moody St.
A committee of teachers began reviewing reading programs last year after some teachers expressed a concern that the current program didn’t offer a comprehensive spelling component.
The panel recommended a revised version of the current program--an Open Court-based program--and Evan Moore spelling materials as a supplement. Information: (714) 220-6900.
