City Crisis Response Team Seeks Bilingual Volunteers

The city’s crisis response team is in urgent need of bilingual volunteers, especially those who are fluent in Spanish, Korean or Russian.

The crisis response team is made up of volunteers who provide victims of traumatic incidents with on-scene crisis intervention, emotional support and referrals.

The volunteers, coordinated by the Mayor’s Volunteer Bureau and the fire and police departments, also assists families of victims involved in traumatic events such as death, serious injuries or violent crimes.

The bureau seeks volunteers who are at least 21 and in good physical condition. The next training session will be Nov. 6. For more information, call (213) 485-4385.
