L.A. and the Internet

The Urban Land Institute will tackle the topic of how the Internet is transforming Los Angeles real estate and will offer tips on how to compete in a wired world at a meeting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Stuart M. Ketchum YMCA Community Room, 401 S. Hope St., Los Angeles. Titled “The Wired Metropolis: L.A. and the Digital Age,” the meeting will focus on the effects of changes in the telecommunications industry and the “dot-com” phenomenon, how to tap into venture funds to revitalize neighborhoods, and how to develop projects within urban economies. The event will include remarks by Stuart M. Ketchum, owner of Ketchum Co., and will be moderated by Thomas A. Horan, executive director of Claremont Information & Technology Institute.
