* Solo--Actress Ruby Nelda Perez will revive her acclaimed role as the feisty restaurateur of Dona Rosita’s Jalapeno Kitchen in a special one-woman show at 8 p.m. today at UC Santa Barbara’s Campbell Hall. Titled “Dona Rosita’s Day of the Dead,” the performance finds the gossiping chef working overtime on El Dia de Los Muertos to fill orders for her customers. $12-$20. 893-3535.

* Plant Sale--The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden will hold its 40th annual Fall Plant Sale this weekend. Home gardeners can procure the garden’s cultivars and native plants, plus varieties indigenous to Mediterranean climates. * Hocus Pocus--”It’s Magic,” a Las Vegas-style production featuring six professional acts, will be staged at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday.
