HUNTINGTON BEACH
Police identified a suspect in a series of tire slashings in a Huntington Beach neighborhood over the weekend, but need more evidence before they can arrest him, a sergeant said Monday. The tires on 26 cars parked on Kingfisher Drive, Farnsworth Lane and Catamaran Lane, a neighborhood about a mile from the beach, were slashed between 4 and 7 a.m. Saturday, police said.
“We have a suspect,” Police Sgt. Janet Perez said.
Detectives are trying to uncover additional evidence that could lead to an arrest, she said.
The suspect is a Huntington Beach man, she said.
