Concordia Women Lose to Westmont

Concordia completed its season Wednesday with a 2-0 loss to Westmont in a Golden State Athletic Conference women’s soccer game in Santa Barbara.

Janel Kaden scored twice for Westmont, which outshot the Eagles, 10-0, in the first half and 18-8 for the game.

Concordia’s best chance for a goal came midway through the second half when Erin Lea redirected a corner kick toward the Westmont goal, but Warrior goalkeeper Kristen St. Clair knocked it away. The rebound was picked up by the Eagles’ Kelly Wilkins, but her shot glanced off the crossbar.

Concordia finished the season with a record of 10-6-1, 2-5 in conference. Westmont (13-2-2, 5-0-2) advances to play in the NAIA region tournament.
