St. Paschal Holiday Crafts Fair

* St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church in Thousand Oaks will host a holiday arts and crafts fair this weekend. There will also be baked goods and refreshments. Hours are today from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by the women’s club.

First Presbyterian Sunday Service

Mass Schedule at St. Anthony’s

* St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Oxnard will celebrate Mass at 5:15 p.m. today and have confessions from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Sunday Mass will be celebrated at 7:30, 9 and 10:30 a.m. in English, and Spanish-language Mass will be held at noon and 1:30 p.m.

Also on Sunday, the parish school will hold its annual Harvest Festival outdoors from 10-4 p.m. Free.

Temple Aims to Teach Hebrew

* Temple Etz Chaim, 1080 Janss Road, Thousand Oaks, on Sunday will begin the five-installment series “Read Hebrew America,” a nationwide campaign aimed at teaching Jewish adults to read Hebrew. Church’s Halloween Alternative

* Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village will host its second annual “Trunk or Treat” harvest festival Tuesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The program is described as a “safe and fun” alternative to traditional Halloween activities. Children 2 to 12 and their parents are encouraged to wear “positive attitude” costumes and take part in pony rides, a moon bounce and treat gathering from the trunks of members’ cars. Free.
