2 Arrested After Stores Vandalized
Two local teenagers were arrested on suspicion of vandalizing several restaurants and stores early Thursday, police said.
Police responded to a call of two men tampering with several newspaper vending machines in the Target shopping center in the 4000 block of East Main Street about 1:40 a.m. Officers found Michael Solis, 19, and Wesley Roberts, 18, both of Ventura, at the scene and discovered that vending machines and several businesses had been vandalized with paint markers.
Among the targeted businesses were Taco Bell, Sizzler, Eggs ‘n’ Things, and The Game Shop, which sustained more than $400 in damages, police said.
Based on evidence police said they found at the scene, both teenagers were placed under arrest and booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of felony vandalism.
