A free two-hour lecture will be given in several locations by the Center for Real Estate Studies, headquartered in Palos Verdes.

American Institute of Architects Architect Jon Jerde will be featured as part of the AIA/Los Angeles chapter’s annual master of architecture lecture series.

Jerde’s 130-member urban planning and architecture firm, the Jerde Partnership, is best known for its large-scale, mixed-use projects. These include Universal CityWalk, Las Vegas’ Fremont Street Experience, Horton Plaza in San Diego, and the design master plan for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The series is co-sponsored by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Location: Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Bing Theater, 5905 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles.

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Cost: $12 for the public. LACMA and AIA members are $10 and seniors and students, $5.

Community Associations Institute The group will conduct a leadership training program that includes seminars on insurance and maintenance and “Running the Super Meeting.”

Location: Chapter office, 23166 Los Alisos Blvd., Mission Viejo.

Time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Cost: Nonmembers pay $35, members $25.
