Drawing a Firm Line Against Slang Use

Share

I know that language constantly evolves to meet the needs of society at a given time (“Like It or Not, ‘Like’ Is Probably Here to Stay,” Aug. 21). When, however, academics struggle to find a way to make slang that cannot even be a legitimate part of speech, acceptable, a line should be drawn.
