YORBA LINDA
The cities of Yorba Linda and Brea will celebrate their 30th year of a shared police force with a special badge-pinning ceremony at 4 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Yorba Linda Community Center, 4501 Casa Loma Ave.
The Yorba Linda City Council last month renewed its contract for police services with the Brea Police Department.
Ten officers will be promoted the day of the celebration. Douglas Dickerson and David Carlock have been named captains; Martin Needham, Clyde Wason and Monica Anderson will advance to the rank of lieutenant; and John Burks, Jack Conklin, Christopher Haddad, Gregory Parker and James Tibbetts have been promoted to sergeant.
