Volunteer Tutors Sought for Programs

The Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo is seeking volunteer tutors to help children improve academic performance.
In the one-on-one tutoring program, which begins Oct. 2, volunteers will spend one or two hours per week helping youths ages 6 through 18 brush up their academic skills.
In the Power Readers program, which begins Oct. 9, tutors will spend one hour per week helping children in grades one through six with their reading skills. Power Readers will run Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m.
Both programs are free and will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo, 1500 Temple Ave.
Volunteers can pick up applications at the office or call 482-8113 for more information.
