PLACENTIA
The Placentia-Yorba Linda school board will hold a workshop Sept. 22 to discuss the district’s goals and objectives for the present academic year.
The board decided in July to wait for new Supt. Dennis Smith to begin work before voting on the matter. Board members said a workshop will give Smith insight into the state of the school district and its plans.
Smith was hired to replace James O. Fleming, who retired in June.
The workshop will begin at 8 p.m. at the District Educational Center, 4999 Casa Loma Ave. Information: (714) 985-8402.
