Praying for Asylum for Thai Boy With AIDS
If the federal judge does not grant the young Thai boy Got political asylum in the United States, the child will be dead within a short time (“A Lost Boy, and the Woman Who Sheltered Him,” Aug. 17).
The Thai consul general should put aside jingoism for once and abide in God’s law of mercy. Millions of good people in the United States would adopt this child who has AIDS and give him a good home and a good future and the proper medical care.
It bruises my whole being to think of this dear child being sent back into purgatory because of egotistical bureaucrats. God help Got and blessings to those who have really helped him.
