Assembly Candidates Forum Set Tonight
A candidates forum featuring Assemblywoman Hannah-Beth Jackson and her two main competitors for the seat representing the 35th District is set for tonight at Four Points Sheraton in Ventura.
Challengers Robin Sullivan and Eric Dahl will face off against Jackson, a Santa Barbara Democrat, at the 6:30 p.m. forum sponsored by the Ventura Chamber of Commerce.
Each candidate will receive two minutes for opening remarks. They will then answer questions from the moderator and from each other. Sullivan is a Republican and Dahl is a member of the Natural Law Party.
The chamber’s political action committee “feels that this is a way we can not only help our membership, but the public, to have a clear understanding of how the candidates feel about business issues,” chamber Chief Executive Zoe Taylor said.
The Four Points Sheraton is located at 1050 Schooner Drive.
