Declaring that his presidency “set the table for America’s feast,” President Clinton made an all-out pitch Wednesday for black voters to turn out for Vice President Al Gore.

At the Church of God in Christ’s annual bishops conference, Clinton cast Gore and Democratic running mate Joseph I. Lieberman as “good servants.”

The same holds true, he said, for his wife, Senate candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton.
