Anaheim circuit board maker DDI Corp. said Friday that it has acquired a privately held Texas producer of commercial precision sheet metal and machine parts for about $14.9 million.

DDI said in a press release that its purchase of Golden Manufacturing Inc. will enhance DDI’s operational capabilities in the time-critical delivery of electronics manufacturing services. DDI intends to integrate Golden Manufacturing’s in-house production of metal enclosures into its own assembly services.

The Orange County company said it expects the transaction to add to earnings this year. DDI, which went public earlier this year, lost $17.4 million last year on $292.5 million in revenue. It dropped an additional $2.2 million, or 13 cents a share, on $176.8 million in revenue for the first six months this year.

The company financed the transaction with funds from a senior credit facility.
