Beginning today, The Times will replace its daily police log with a weekly roundup of crime news from across Orange County. The new log appears each Monday as part of the Safety Zone page and represents selected items compiled throughout the week. Readers can receive daily incident reports for more than a dozen communities by signing onto www.latimes.com /safety. From there, readers will be linked directly to cities that post crime logs on the Internet.

ANAHEIM

* Pacific Avenue: A loud party was reported in the 8800 block at 12:36 a.m. Sunday.

* Alamo Street: A narcotics violation was reported in the 600 block at 7:24 p.m. Friday.

COSTA MESA

* Santa Ana Avenue: A prowler was reported in the 2600 block at 12:52 a.m. Thursday.

DANA POINT

* Camino Capistrano: A petty theft was reported in the 34500 block at 2:19 p.m. Sunday.

* Lantern Bay Drive: A burglary was reported in the 34300 block at 12:23 p.m. Sunday.

* Pacific Coast Highway: Terrorist threats were reported in the 34300 block at 3:45 p.m. Sunday.

LAGUNA HILLS

* Los Alisos Boulevard: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 24500 block at 1:21 a.m. Sunday.

* Moulton Parkway: A grand theft was reported in the 26000 block at 12:18 p.m. Saturday.

* Rio Grande Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 26100 block at 8:46 a.m. Sunday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Herencia: A hit-and-run on a parked car was reported in the 21700 block at 1:31 p.m. Sunday.

* Valarta Lane: A petty theft was reported in the 23500 block at 9:20 a.m. Sunday.

SANTA ANA

* 17th Street: Vandalism was reported in the 18200 block at 12:03 a.m. Saturday.

* Tropic Lane: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1000 block at 5:41 p.m. Saturday.

OTHER COMMUNITIES

ALISO VIEJO

* Aliso Creek Road: Trespassing was reported in the 23000 block at 3:36 a.m. Sunday.

* Chase: A suspicious person was reported in the 22500 block at 3:44 p.m. Saturday.

* Chase: A burglary was reported in the 22500 block at 11:33 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Brea, Buena Park, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, La Habra, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Orange, Placentia, Seal Beach, Tustin, Westminster and Yorba Linda.

Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
