The City Council will take a final vote today on a series of regulations on noise and billiard parlors.

The regulations will make it possible to cite Stanton residents and businesses for noise disturbances based on the level, duration, location and time. The regulations will also authorize the police or code-enforcement officers to charge noise offenders at the scene.

The billiard parlor regulations would ban tinted windows and limit a facility to one room. They would also require patrons to check out pool cues and security guards to patrol inside and outside the establishments.

If approved by the council, the new regulations will take effect in 30 days.
