The International Olympic Committee will begin visiting candidate cities for the 2008 Summer Games starting with Beijing in February.

The IOC Evaluation Committee will visit Beijing, Toronto, Istanbul, Paris and Osaka, Japan, between Feb. 20 and April 1.

This is the first selection process since the bribery scandal that surrounded the awarding of the 2002 Winter Games to Salt Lake City caused the IOC to alter the procedure.
