The city will form an advisory sign committee so residents and business owners can review and possibly propose changes to Dana Point’s sign code.

The council unanimously approved forming an 11-member committee at its Tuesday meeting.

The council will appoint five residents, the Chamber of Commerce will appoint five people from the business community, and a planning commissioner will serve as a chairperson. Two members from the Dana Point Youth Board will be appointed as ex-officio members, having no voting power.
