Project to Dispose of Miscellaneous Junk
The Fremont South Neighborhood Council is sponsoring a cleanup today.
The eight-hour project, which begins at 7 a.m., encourages residents to dispose of discarded items like mattresses and sofas that could be cited for code violations.
The council will place three trash bins around the neighborhood to collect lumber, tires, green waste and miscellaneous junk.
The bins will be at 900 W. Magnolia Ave.; Magnolia Avenue and Ventura Road; and Beverly Drive and K Street. All green waste should be brought to the Magnolia Avenue location.
People with hazardous waste items like paint, batteries, insecticides and oils should call 987-0717 to drop them off on special collection dates in October and November.
