FileNet Revenue Warning

Software company FileNet Corp. said its first-quarter revenue will fall from a year ago, citing purchasing delays by its customers, and it is reviewing “all possible means” of reducing operating expenses. FileNet said it now expects total revenue in the first quarter ended March 31 to be $81 million to $84 million, less than the $92.8 million of a year ago. FileNet, based in Costa Mesa, also said its previous 2001 outlook had been rendered obsolete by current market conditions.
