Subway Travels

I recently completed jury service at the downtown Los Angeles Superior Court. Since I live near a Metro Red Line station I thought I’d give the subway a try, and I am glad I did. For over three weeks I was able to get from my corner to downtown in 12 minutes with no traffic stops, no honking horns and no angry drivers. I would encourage everyone to give the subways a try. They are clean, well lit and well designed. Perhaps if more Angelenos would try the subway there might be a push to extend the Red Line to the Westside. How wonderful it would be to get to La Brea or Fairfax and not have to worry about parking. And just maybe this would encourage conservation of fuel and reduce deadly emissions at the same time.
