Violence No. 1 Workplace Threat, Survey Finds

For Fortune 1000 security managers, violence remained the No. 1 workplace threat for the third year in a row, according to an annual survey by Pinkerton, a Westlake Village-based security company. Internet and intranet security was the second biggest concern among the 220 corporate security managers who responded to the survey. Other workplace security concerns were employee selection and screening, fraud and white-collar crime, business interruption and disaster recovery, employee theft and drug and alcohol use.
