Oxnard Teen Held in Stabbing Death of Man

A 15-year-old Oxnard boy has been arrested in connection with the April 9 death of a man who was stabbed repeatedly in the neck and left to die on the street as several witnesses looked on.

The youth was taken to juvenile hall Tuesday and booked on murder charges, said Oxnard Police Cmdr. Tom Chronister.

Bryan Davalos, 20, of Oxnard, was attacked near his van in the 1400 block of Hill Street the morning of April 9. He died a short time later from his wounds.

Officials said the teen was arrested after he agreed to meet with investigators.

Authorities are searching for several people who may have seen the stabbing.
