CKE Restaurants Names Chief Financial Officer

Dennis J. Lacey has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer of CKE Restaurants Inc. in Anaheim. Before joining the company, Lacey was with Imperial Bancorp for two years, most recently as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He has also been president and chief executive of Capital Associates Inc. and an audit partner at Coopers and Lybrand.

Carl A. Strunk, who was chief financial officer for four years, has been named executive vice president, finance to focus primarily on CKE’s credit facility, banking relationships and capital restructuring. Strunk also retains his position as executive vice president and chief financial officer of American National Financial Inc., where his role has been expanded. Dan Ponder has joined the board of directors. Ponder, a former Georgia state representative, has been a Hardee’s franchisee since 1984.

* Richard M. Troutte has been named to the newly created position of vice president of Asia-Pacific sales for Simple Technology Inc. in Santa Ana. Troutte was previously at SanDisk Corp. He served as president of SanDisk Japan and vice president of Asia-Pacific sales, positions he managed from offices in Yokohama, Japan; Hong Kong; and Taipei, Taiwan.

* Richard J. Statuto has been elected to the board of directors of Kmart Corp. Statuto is president and chief executive of St. Joseph Health Systems in Orange.
